Default 1991 xj np231 breakage

I have a 1991 jeep xj with an 4.0, automatic, and the np231 transfer case. The
t-case has crapped out so Im swapping another one in. My question is I have done away with e CAD system and have gone to a perm lok. I was wondering if this contributed to the death of the t-case? Also it is my daily driver and has almost 301,000 miles on it. Thanks for the info.

I really dout that was what caused it to break. I have a 99 axle in my 89 just so I could remove the cad system lol. Iv had no issues in over 45,000 miles.

Well when you say crapped out, did it break or just wear out?

Thanks for the response. I didnt think it would have caused it to break. I havent torn in to the t-case, but i know that i can hear the chain dragging on the inside of the case. Im pretty sure its stretched. Thanks
