Default 1991 Jeep Cherokee won't start

I have a 1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo with 5 speed manual that I just bought. Super excited to have a Jeep as this is the first one for me. When I bought it there we issues but paid 600.00 and it has brand new tires. I love the Jeep, but I moved it from one side of the driveway to the other and then next day it would not start. It cranks just fine. So I started with the basics. Fuel: it has gas, and has 33 PSI on the rail and changed the fuel filter for good measure. Rented a NOID light from Autozone and checked the injectors and they are firing. Spark: Check. It has spark and I bought new plugs cause the old ones were, well...OLD and now I get a good hot blue spark. Air filter is new. Oil (leaking) but up to level. Changed the pickup coil in the distributor, and also changed the Crank Position Sensor. Checked the timing on the engine and set the distributor according the a prior post that I found. I have had it with it and am about ready to take it to a shop but money is tight and I really need this thing to run...does anyone have any ideas on what the next steps should be?

temp censor...every1 wil tell u cps...but trust me its the temp sensor...pull it from the thermostat housing and put a jumper wire in the plug...crank it till it starts....funny as it sounds with that sensor bad yur motor will read -30 degrees and flood your motor out....trust me try the jumper wire!!!

do I jump the sensor, or the connector?
I'm assuming the connector, any other thoughts?

the connector...and if yur worried put a fuseable link in the jumper wire....leave the sensor in and unplugged....u wont hurt the cpu....just trick it into thinking your at 101 degrees...so it will start...if that works get a sensor....dont drive a bunch on that sensor cause u will be running lean and eventually could burn yur rings....but would take a serious road trip 4 that......gl

No need for a fuse able link. The sensor is a variable resistor and shouldn't get any higher then 5 volts.

I tried the jumper and no start. I got the trouble code 22...probably cause I jumped the sensor. Can any one think of possibly anything else?
The only other code that comes out is 12....I pulled the negative terminal..so that makes sense. Anything else that I can try?

Does it try to start or sputter. Is it flooding out. If you hold the pedal to the ground and crank does it try to start.

It doesn;t even try to sputter. I tried holding the pedal to the floor and no change. still won't start.

Hmmm. Got me scratching my head. You got fuel. You got spark. How bout compression. I might try a compression test or a leak down test.

You should test your ignition coil to be absolutely sure it is up-to-snuff. Doesn't take long. They can be tested for both primary and secondary resistances with a manual outlining the specs and a meter.

so on the way home today picked up new coil and distributor. and rotor. Installed, still will not start. I'm getting STRONG fuel smell out the exhaust. Also ever since I jumped the temp sensor as above getting code 22 I cleared the computer last night taking the neg. cable off. I'm getting so frustrated!!! Any more ideas?
