I got the OEM style cup-holder for my 95 from Summit. If you have the notches on the passenger side of the center console (right about where the shifter is) then you can go that route. It was about $20 for that cup holder however.
They also make very inexpensive cup holders that fit in the e-brake area, using the center console mounting screws to secure in place. The PO of my 95 used one of these, which was fine for him since the e-brake was completely frozen. I have since fixed the e-brake and can't stand not being able to lift the e-brake handle, so it was worth $20 for me.

Yeah, I have one of those e-brake cup holders. They are better than nothing but, not by very much. IMHO, they don't work very well.
Or, a more accurate statement, they really suck!
Was it here on CF.com that I saw a picture of a bike water bottle cage screwed to the dash? Cool idea.

I got them at Canadian Tire in the automotive accessories area. They're actually ash trays. They came with a chrome/plastic top that easily pops off. The cost was about $5 each.

Thanks werewolf. The e-brake on an MJ is a foot brake. A lot of Comanches have a bench seat which pretty much negates the option for it being on top of the transmission tunnel. I can only guess Jeep offered the bench seat in order to compete with other small pick ups of the day.
There's a neat thread in the Expedition Portal Forum where a guy converted a Cherokee to have a Comanche e-brake. He removed the centre console arm rest, etc. and used the space for a small fridge/freezer.
