Default 1990 XJ dies

OK this has me stumped. All you Renix guys, I have a riddle for you.

1990 XJ 4.0 AW4, 200,000 + miles. Runs pretty good except for one little thing.

It stalls. Third time now since the first of the year.

First time, after driving from home to my daughter's college 140 miles away. As we got to the school, it just died. HEAVY smell of gas. Held the throttle wide open and crank it for a bit and it starts and drives as if nothing happened.

Second time, a couple weeks ago, driven around town, and it just died. Same procedure, and it ran like nothing had happened.

Third time, today. Stalled in an intersection and she needed to be pushed clear. Took ten minutes to restart this time.

To rehash this past fall, I replaced CPS, TPS, O2. Swapped from my parts XJ, distributor for the Cam Position Sensor, IAC motor, throttle body, fuel injectors and fuel rail (with new O rings). And of course, that pesky freaking chunk of fuel hose on the pump, in the tank.

No fun trying to diagnose a sick Jeep from this far away, spring break is coming and the XJ will be home for a week.

What say the brain trust?

Sounds like the same thing going on with me. Its just idling too low and dying? Especially when coming to stops and such?
--I've been trying to figure this out for quite some time, but I'm clueless...

buddy's 93 YJ would run for about 30 secs then shut off. Turned out the pickup coil? in the distributor would create an open when it got hot and shut off the spark,....

I had the same issue, and it turned out to be a relay on the passenger side fender well.

You never mentioned trying a MAP Sensor. Try that. If when you tried the fuel rail. You didn't try the fuel pressure regulator with the new fuel rail, try that.
