The winter cold is finally here and the xj is having starting issues. Is on the original starter, 90' xj with 99k. On 2 different occasions i've had to tap the starter and then jump in and it cranks right up. I'm trying to find a good quality replacement. Which brand should i replace it with?
Morris 4x4 Center is $160 for 33002709. Mopar parts is $189 for 33002709. And rockauto has a few brands - NSA, REMY, PURE ENERGRY, OMIX but not familiar with any of them. Can anyone give me some suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

If it's just a stock motor use a stock starter. The ones I've gotten from advance and auto zone have worked great for me and they have good warranties. Good idea to check the wiring connectors on the old starter because they tend to break easy when u swap starters

 

I see advance has the Remy starter (listed as New) and with promo code "P20" its only $89.19 or $79.19 with core. Guess I'll have to give this a shot. 1 review says the part was reman but advertised as new so we'll see what i get.
