I found 2 wires that we're cut prior to me going in there. I do not know where they were going. I have not finished the wireing for the sensor.ground yet though. Just ran and bought a solder gun and some picks.

There could be 2 cut wires if someone at a dealership performed the CPS bypass....

I think there was a purple or pink with white strip and an orangish yellow with white stripe. They were cut bout where the I.a.t sensor went into the wire loom.

Purple with tracer and white with a tracer. Look at your CPS plug wire colors. Probably not important at this point. Understanding my write-up okay? I have a hokey diagram I made up with a pencil if you want it.

If you want to send the diagram that'd be cool. I got as far as ripping apart the wire loom and had to get my kids and grocery shop. When I'm home I will break back into it.

It's too big to post I just found out.... Once you get the split-loom off the harness, I think it will make sense to you. If not, post back up.

Or, send me your email address via PM so the file will go through.

Well I did the best I could with the solder gun, soldered all 6 into 1.

The aftermath of my wire job and concealment.

Well since the solder job IV got a total of 1.0 ohm resistance, the meter itself had .8 ohms. I can shake wiggle and pull and no ohm movements at all .

Here what all I did to resolved my problem:

-Adjusted throttle butter fly
-Properly set Tps by cruiser54 write up
-Sensor ground refreshments by cruiser54
-Cracked open the C101 and thoroughly cleaned and removed the tar like goo.
-Re connected all plugs, vacuum lines and anything else I removed like the battery.
- Prayed to God that it would start ok and.......... Bam she fired up perfect!

- My idle is smoother than before, it is not jumping around like it used to be. In my opinion my engine bay looks cleaner with the newly tapes wire harnesses.

Excellent job. I know the instructions for the repair of the ground circuit are hard to follow for some people and understandably so.

I'm open to suggestions for improvement if you have any. It's kinda one of those jobs where you just open up the splitloom and go for it. Not hard to do and the results are sure worth it.

This is why I don't advocate just adding a ground to the TPS. The other sensors can have poor grounds and you're ignoring them by doing just the TPS.

Oh, and it wasn't the IAC?...............

As for the I.a.c I don't think that's the problem. Simply because I just put everything back together and she started up so perfectly.

I have an 88 Comanche with the 4L 6, 5 speed Manual,2w drive, 189K. Occasional fast idle, slight bucking on freeway but with a slight throttle pressure it runs smooth, occasional bucking on decel, idle seldom the same but usually under 1K. Changing the MAP sensor made all the difference. Need to log more miles but looks VERY good. About 35-45 bucks. Simple to change. 7mm bolts.
