Lord have mercy, I cannot for the life of me find a replacement front drivers seat for my 2 door 87 XJ.

The one I have is totally wrecked, shredded on the bottom and the metal tearing through on the sides. There's all kinds of seat replacements for 4 doors, but I need one that has the pulley on the side so that it bends down and people can get into the back.

Anyone know where I can get one?

 

For future reference for anyone looking at this post later: I never found any

BUT

You can get sideless seat covers, so I can still use the pulley mechanism. I'll be trying those out.

 

What's broken?

Is it the metal pan of the cushion?

 

Any seat from 94 down works just gonna loose the tilt forward option . Unless you cut a slot in new seats cover as they are completely removable. I have leather interior from a 4door which I made drivers seat fully functional.

 

Cushion.

 

The cushion is right above the aluminum pan I mentioned. It cracks and the cushion goes to pot.

Remove the seat and then the cushion. Super easy. Get a cushion from a passenger seat from a junkyard.
