Hello, I have spent some time here and elsewhere online and I have not been able to find the specific part numbers that could help me fix the CCV on my 4.0 engine.
It seems like there was an engine update in '91 and the valves may not fit the 1987 engine so I want to be absolutely sure I'm buying the right parts.
Long story short, I was starting work on removing the master cylinder and power brake booster when I banged on the air cleaner. It is not anchored anywhere but it led me to inspect the lines and I saw that both of the CCV valves are completely loose so I need to replace them.
Here are some parts I've found on OReillys. Are they the correct fit?
I'm also going to replace the hoses with fuel lines but that's more straight forward.

None of those are correct for a '87.
This lists the Napa and Dorman part numbers. This also has the routing diagram.

Search on the Dorman part numbers. You should be able to find them locally or on Amazon.
Note the rear line has a metered orifice on the end of the line and connects directly to the intake manifold.

The rear grommet can be purchased independently at any auto parts store (Dorman 42088 for 1987-90 4.0) the front grommet can only be obtained by purchasing the entire engine side vacuum kit the grommet is built onto the hard line (labeled as front harness by Dorman 2238-02045839). I did fully replace all parts and did Crusier's valve pan upgrade with great results, but today's rubber sucks and after 3 years of engine heat they started to fail. I have a 94 parts xj in the yard that still had the aluminum valve cover with the newer CCV style, so I made the swap. Yes, today's rubber still sucks but I can get both grommets easy, and I haven't had a drop of oil an my air filter since (2 years). The rear vacuum harness number is (Dorman 2223-0766156), all of those part numbers were through PartsGeek.

I'm going to be inspecting all other vacuum hoses as well as the CCV, a lot of the other hoses are in decent condition.
Side question, not sure if you'd know but my brakes are pretty spongy and I wonder if the vacuum could have anything to do with it as there is a vacuum line feeding into the power booster.
I press the pedal when the car is on and there is a constant whooshing noise. When the car is off, there is no whooshing noise and the pedal feels normal. Either way, I've purchased a power brake booster and a master cylinder to attempt to fix that.
Thanks in advance!
