Default 1984-86 2.8l no spark

We placed our heater fan on the ignition wire to always run high (it is bloody cold in Edmonton) and now it will turn over but no spark. Fuses seem good, can anyone identify if this part might be? Any help would be appreciated,

That looks suspicious like a GM blower motor or headlight relay.

Thank you fol your replies, so we have no spark, most probably not because of this. We will have to work backwards from the wire we tapped our blower into and determine what blew?

Be sure to check those fusable links (all the wires that go to the silver box in your picture) for broken/"squishy" ones. they act as a fuse and break inside when overloaded.

There is power to the red part of the connector but there is no power to the yellow wire (that was what we connected our heater fan to). There is also no power to the ignition connector at the fuse box. Any ideas?

I believe my next task is to trace the yellow wire. For some reason it blew the ignition circuit and we suspect that this circuit is also tied to the voltmeter gauge as it is reading 0 on the gauge with all other gauges lighting up.

Checked all fuseable links there are four by the starter relay, there is power on all wires beyond them. The yellow wire that has no power is very similar to the yellow wire leading into the coil, this yellow wire does not have any power when the ignition is turned on. Finally there is a yellow box underneath the dash, could this be the problem?

what is this

yellow wire at bottom plug did provide power but now has no power same with yellow wire going into coil

all 4 fuseable links have power

Could it be the ignition switch where the key presses a bar down to activate? Probably ignition power goes through this switch??
