I have a 96 cherokee classic that i just got that has 164.000 and it seems that it was taking care of i just changed the trans oil and put a new water pump any tips? And how much longer u think she will go? And its all shock for now

 

I have a 99 cherokee sport with 298xxx miles and it is still running strong. i run full synthetic mobile one and switch between lucas stabilizer and sea foam when i change the oil. id say the motor should be good to 300k miles if you take care of it

I got a 99 witgh 227xxx on it. Still running strong just take good care of her. I run mobile one full syn.

 

Sweet i going to do a basic tune up on it to make sure it stays strong im going to go withh 33s and a 4.5 lift here r some pics its a clean jeep

 

Wow!! You all got baby jeeps! They haven't even been broke in yet! Our 88 has 585xxx on it! We bouught it with 112k. As far as we know its still factory motor. All I've done to it is head gasket, 3 clutches, 2 sets of motormounts and routine maintinance. And it doesn't get babied at all...been on 35 or 36 inch tires for 14 years, pulls a 21 foot boat at 70 with the cruise set and cold a/c blowin! Gets wheeled hard a few times a month and just won't die. And I drive 35 miles a day round trip to work. I say 300,000 plus with any kind of decent care. There's a few guys on the forum that have seen how I run her and it ain't light on the skinny pedal!! Your jeep will take care of you if you take care of her is the bottom line.

Somewhere between 1 and 1,000,000 more miles. How many miles, is dependant on the owner and the care they give to a vehicle.

 

I got 232,000 on mine and runs like a champ. Its got a hesitation starting below half a tank but runs great once it starts!

 

Wow soni thinks is going to last me awhile cus im going to take care of it its crazy how many miles some of these jeeps have

 

its definitely about the amount of care you put into it

i had a 80s jeep that was a dd no thrills and i put 325K miles on, it lasted 450K before i got a hole in the gas tank then decided to donate it for full market value tax write off

just keep up on regular pm and do be mean to her and it will go forever
even if you are mean to her should last you till at least the mid 200s or higher

 

218,xxx here and no major problems just little things that "basic maintenance" can't cure.
