15.5 miles per gallon
I am not overheating, coolant stays full, no smoke, oil is clean, etc...
I think its the original O2 with 145k on it, could that be why its turned white?
Anyone else have an opinion on the white O2?
I did a little more research on white O2 sensors and found this:

Mine looks like the one affected by non-sensor safe silicone. I know the water pump and t-stat were recently replaced, could the white O2 be a result of incorrect RTV?
I am kinda getting worried here......

... well all i know is that its usually white when antifreeze gets in or water or something.. as for where you could be getting this from idk .. check for leaks
Well, I called around today and spoke to an indi shop as well as the stealer. Told them what the O2 looked like and they said that was good. Commented that if it was black it would be bad.
I dunno, I will just leave it and see how things go....

theres a link for what the tip of the o2 sensor should be and what other colors mean.. white does not mean normal

Yea I know w/my 30 " tires its like 100 mi =110 I found the # of rotations per mile of the 225 size and have a formula written down that I plug in eveytime I calculate MPG. For my 30" coopers get something like 753 Rotations per Mile and the stock size I was running got around 700 Rotations per mile. On GoJeeps website he has a chart that tells you the correct speedo gear.

You guys are all getting better MPG than I was. The ZJ I just parked to part out was only getting 8mpg with the 4.0L and 31's on 3.5" lift.
Now my XJ all stock get's around 17-19mpg, if I stay out of the throttle... Also remember re-gearing can also help your mileage.

So I filled up again today (this time went with 76 vs Safeway fuel that I was running in it), anyway I calculated 13 mpg
. Last time was 15.5.
Same old commute. Did make a few changes during that 211 miles. Removed and wiped off the O2 sensor, changed plugs to champs vs NGK's (NGKs were new just wanted the right plug) Swapped in an OEM T-stat (same temp rating, old one was a Stant). Cleaned some sensor that screws into the intake manifold (cant remember name).
Think any of these changes would have anything to do with the drop in mileage? Or is it just a fluke.

I have a 2000 XJ and I consistently get exactly 15.5 mpg as well, with an occasional 17 or so. I pretty much always drive the same and it's usually all in town and from the same gas station every time!
