My brass freeze plug kit had 2" freeze plugs, pipe plugs, and (2) 1" brass plugs. My question is where do the (2) 1 " brass plugs go? What am I missing. I have them all installed except the (2) 1 inch brass plugs. Don't want to miss something.

 

you may want to check behind the flex plate/fly wheel. I do remember seeing pictures of freeze plug back there.

 

Do these 1" Brass Plugs have pipe threads?


If so they are the oil gallery plugs (Cylinder Block Oil Hole Plugs). One in the front (under the timing chain cam gear), and one in the back (under the bell housing) . See pic.

 

Mine has pipe plugs on front and rear of oil gallery. I guess there are different types of blocks with different size plugs. Just don't want problem after installation.
