I see it more of a design flaw than a casting flaw or really no flaw at all. 285k+ XJ were made those two years. They built a cheap head that outlasted the warranty. If you want a vehicle that last forever take a nap and have a dream. Most of the post on here of XJ problems our guys having stupid electrical problems they can't figure out on 98 or older XJs. Are you one of those that get butt hurt when your 20 year old tv stops working?

What's this guy on. I want some Man Decided if your head is blown or not before you post.
Uh dude, I said in my reply "aaand it's CRACKED" meaning it has a "crack"
I don't drive it as of now. I'm well aware of the damage silicates can do to cam and bearings. But thanks for the rude useless comment BTW heads don't usually blow its the gasket that does, unless I'm misinformed they crack.

Yeah I'll honestly probably swap head when I get the money up. Just the low oil pressure bothers me.

Again you missplelled the word "and". Who rides out a cracked head? There is nothing to ride out. People ride out a mild sickness without going to the doctor because they know they will eventually get better. Sorry your post confused me. Sorry I was rude. Sometimes people on here are a holes.
