01 XJ Speakers
I have an '01 XJ limited and was wondering if I can easily fit 6.5" speakers in either the doors or rear sound bar without any mods? Anyone have experience with this? Thanks!

Without any mods, I don't think it's possible. The existing speakers are all 5 1/4". You can go bigger, but have to mod it.

I have a 2000 Limited and I put 6.5" speakers in the front doors in the stock location behind the panel. I originally got 5.25" speakers but they are actually too small (the screw holes were too close together to fit) so I ended up getting 6.5" speakers and they fit in perfectly! The only thing I had to do was drill a couple small pilot holes for the new screws (could even skip this with self-tapping screws). Other than the screw holes, the openings in the doors were the perfect size for the 6.5" speakers, believe it or not.
I can't say for the rear speaker bar tough as I haven't changed those speakers.

For the size and mounting depths they are 5.25 front and back. front has a mounting depth of 2.5 and rear has 3in for the depth. I have put 6.5 in the back but not up front without some modifications.
