01 Timing?

01 Timing?
I have an 01 xj and am putting the motor back in tommorow(distributorless ignition).
do i just put that electrical distributor thing back the way it was, and the ECU times it or do i have to time it myself?
i have never done anything with this type of ignition so all help and pointers are appreciated.
