Just purchased an 01 Cherokee. While driving home going about 70mph the vehicle died. The oil pressure gauge shook a little bit but no low pressure alarms came in. Started back up like nothing was wrong. Did it again about 30 minutes later and upon restarting the no key present light came in then cleared. It has the sentry key system. Was wondering if anyone had any similar problems or insight on the possibility of the problem.

Get it scanned for pending codes first. Crappy SKIM can do the same thing.

Posted recently about having an issue with my jeep dying randomly and security key light coming on. Well at work it died after about 3 minutes running and wouldn't restart. Security key light stays lit and odometer reads "no bar". Had to tow it out next day. Ran long enough to get on trailer then died again. Have tried to start a few times and if it does start it will run for about 3 min then die and not restart. Checked codes and getting P1694. Replaced cps and no change. Also new battery. I'm really thinking its pcm or skim related. Was thinking about sending pcm off to get skim delete. Any ideas?
