so today i want to the jeep dealership to get a price on a pcm, around 650 including the core charge, i also talked with the man behind the counter for a while and he said my best bet would be to bring the jeep in and have them diagnose or troubleshoot it. im out of ideas on what to look for..

anyone have any input?

I don't know enough to say much, sounds like you ruled out the wiring. Also it ran fine a minute with the new pcm.

Never a bad Idea to have a wet/dry compression test written down. Might help now, or be handy later. What with the $ involved and you with that 2000 head.

Really don't know if it could be a learning issue with that OBDII pcm...for that kind of money I myself might try crashing and rebooting it a few times, (might take overnight disconnected). Just don't know. I might check rockauto for a refurbished....

Or contact the Ebay seller and see if he has another.

Also I might clean the harness connector plug at the firewall.

So finally after tons of troubleshooting, I brought it to the dealership and it turns out it was a faulty pcm. I ended up paying over 600 bucks and im stuck with a pm I can't use from ebay but the jeep is back on the road, thanks to everyone who had any input, I wouldent have been able to do it without the help
