Loud squeal

Hey guys, I started my Cherokee up this morning and it started letting out a loud squeal and it didn't stop until I got it into 4th gear. It has been raining hard here for the past two days so I'm wondering if it was just bc of a wet belt. What are your thoughts? Thanks guys!

Yeah, time to check your belt tension. Also, while you're at, check both the PS idler pulley and the AC pulley as well. An idler pulley that's on its way out could also be part of your squealing belt. Each one is $10 - $15.
