When I try to do a search to avoid another repost, and hit go , it opens another browser tab to that search term in ebay? Does this on my mac and windows machine in Firefox, safari and IE. Is this a browser setting I need to change? thanks

That's the eBay bar... In the nav bar there will be a little word that says "search" click on that and a box will drop down, where you can type in your query.

did the same thing when I first came back lol.
Search on this forum software leaves alot to be desired.
My threads / my replies, would also be nice without having to go to my statistics.
