Stryker in the future just utilize the report post button, it sends an instant message to all of us staff through the hidden forum that we have, it also send me an email. Problems get taken care of very quickly that way.

tuvw861 now this is the username is there anyway of fighting these guys with out shying away new members. Just curious. You dont want to make the process to difficult to join but there has to be something maybe make a 5-10 post limit before you can add links or add different lanquages to the filter. just an idea.

One option to get rid of spammers is to stop the auto activation option. Have the mods/admins manually activate each account. Send an email saying it may take up to 72 hours.

Given how often your on the board, it rarely takes more than 10 minutes to kill off the spammers, russian accounts, etc and approve the legit looking accounts.

 

Ya we have discussed this before and decided that we would rather get rid of the spammers as they come and keep it easy and painless for new members.
