Default Classifieds State Abbreviation Required In Thread Title

Should make it a rule that users "have" to post the state Abbreviation in capital letters with a ":" following before title. For example.

VA: Tires for sale.

We tried....Unfortunately it became a full time job to enforce. So now we just let folks post up ads and leave it up to the buyers and sellers to sort out the when, whym how and where and such.

Until we have a true classifieds setup with forms not gonna go there again. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but could you add a required box? It could be set so a member who is creating a new thread in the FS section must select a state/territory, and it could be added to the thread title automatically. Just a thought.

Would be nice if VB natively supported that feature. Unfortunateluy unless I am missing something the forum software does not allow that unless you hack/edit the code to add such features. I knwo there is a mod out and it is being looked at but when editing or changing the code one must look at the big picutre as to how it will affect the software as a whole. Every change to the code has the potential to affect other areas of the site in ways not intended. Could also affect security of the site.

Again it's just not natively supported.

Okcjeeper, I got it. I didn't realize we were using some preset system. I only have basic knowledge of web design and programming, so I know concepts but not answers. Thanks for clearing it up for me, though.
