So i have noticed in the last couple weeks that when I am browsing new posts, randomly when I try to go "back" after reading a new post nothing happens. When I expand the back button, I see dozens of pages for ad.doubleclick.net. I have tried paging back as far as the pull down menu will allow, but nothing. I finally just give up on going "back" and hit new posts again and try to pick up where I left off. It happened on my home PC, then both work computers.
Is this a virus that is getting into the site, or part of the ad software on the site that is just gone hay wire? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Actually this entire site seems to be getting more ad-intensive. If I don't use my fastest computer, I frequently get script error messages, "Stack Overflow at 0," and the site locks up almost every other page. It's getting annoying to the point that I don't even want to use the forum anymore.
Of course I delete my browsing history and cookies. This site garbles them up so much, I have to.

Jeep Forum did it to me for a while. CF doesn't do it. CherokeeTech does. I think it may have something to do with Internet Explorer and crossing stuff on sites with frickin' Facebook.

Internet Explorer is the most used browser. So, it is the one that most of the bad and merely annoying things are targeted to. I only use it when sites don't work properly with my browser of choice, Firefox. The AdBlock add in reduces greatly the number or the merely annoying things. It's not available for I.E. Just remember, we don't pay anything to use this forum. Services cost money and the owners need income otherwise they could shut it down.

Since it doesn't happen on any of the other several free forums I might frequent, the problem is not with IE, it's the site. I think fixing it should merely be an issue with settings or something, not the ads themselves. I don't know what you guys mean about the facebook stuff, but I don't use FB.
