not to hijack a thread but you would be surprised. had a friend in high school with everything in the world going for him. always had all the hottest girls, star on the football team, every college wanted him, coolest parents, worked hard for his money and had a super nice built mustang and one day, they found him dead, OD'd on heroin. he left a note too saying he was sorry to do this but it was his time. he was always in the best mood, friends with everyone and lived life like it was his last day.
Havent talked to him since I stopped posting here for other reasons in March.
Used to talk to him almost every day, but havent said anything since 3/17. We sent lots of long PMs about random crap, computers, jeeps, girlfriends, whatever, but sadly I deleted them. We never talked on the phone, all I needed to do was ask for a number...
He knew what to say and when to say it, was good at anything he did and was proud of it.
He knew I dont have alot of money and even offered on multiple occasions to send me some for parts or "a date" with my girlfriend of 5 years.
Ill be sure to make a sticker for him; even if it ends up on a Chevy, Im sure he wont care. Ill be sure to wheel it hard for you.
Sorry to say it, goodbye Brian...

Listen guys, I know it's a little quick at the gun but I think we should try to organize a yearly run in honor of Brian. Maybe do a week long run of his favorite wheeling spots yearly beginning on the day he passed and lasting 7 full days. I know Brian loved wheeling Las Cruces and Las Vegas NM, what I don't know is where abouts in AZ. Anyone willing to plan and organize this sorta think can feel free to PM me to discuss. Also anyone with any input regarding this can PM me as well. Thanks guys.

The world lost a truly great guy.
I was just thinking about brian the other day, was going to ask how school in NM was going, then logged on to see how the 35s were on his jeep and was horrified.
I met Brian in 2008, we shared a love for cherokees, cross country running, and the outdoors. My best memories of him were from that summer when we went on a treck to Philmont Scout Ranch. Brian was always the one encouraging others, lending a hand, and was willing to try anything. All of us younger scouts looked up to him like our older brother.
When I bought my first beater cherokee I was constantly asking Brian how to fix things on the xj, and he would always either lend a hand or advice. If it was not for Brian I don't think i ever would have had a running driving cherokee.
The past summers we had been trying to get a good trail run in, but unfortunately betwwen work scedules and jeeps breaking we were never able to get one in.
I will always remember Brian as being truly selfless and willing to help anyone out no matter what.
RIP buddy, hope your wheeling the great trail in the sky, you will truly be missed

One thing I was thinking about, and probably will do...anyone who buys a sticker in remembrance of Brian, take a picture of it on your XJ or w/e, and send it along with a sympathy card to his folks. Won't cost much, $3 or $4 at most, including postage. Just an idea.
