COS, I gotta say, I cannot wait to get out there. Just few more years 'til the student loans are paid off and then 2.5 weeks of Colorado bliss! I told my wife I'd wait to do my big trip 'til we were debt free, so I am anxiously waiting for that day. Until then, guess your trips will have to do as far as keeping the urge to just pack up and go at bay.

Out of curiosity, mainly because it's where I'm looking at going, have you ever done any trips around Tin Cup Pass?

Beautiful pictures. I grew up in South Fork, CO which is further south of Lake City, below Creed. Then lived in Gunnison for 5ish years going to college.

Now I live in the city and I miss being so close to the trails.

If you go to that area again, go over to Crested Butte, and make your way up Pearl pass. That and Bristol Head between Lake City and Creede. Some of the best views I've every seen, and I've been all over those mountains. Fun trails too, nice and rocky.

Cheers

Engineer Pass is unbelievable, So many great views. Very jealous. Hopefully I'll go this coming year. It's about a 2 hour drive or so for me to get there.

yup I ran it 3 times. scariest offroading moment ever, started snowing on us at the top. Extremely slick after the two jeeps in front of me packed down the snow.
