Monument Valley - Utah
Hey guys, yesterday we took a drive to MonumentValley and Valley Of The Gods on the Utah / Arizona border. There really wasn't any 4 wheelin involved just a lot of long dirt roads but I though that everyone might enjoy the pics anyway.
Valley Of The Gods - Wide Open Spaces
Seven Sailors & Sitting Hen Buttes
Deeper into the valley
Castle Butte and others
Castle Butte

Ridge Line
This section of road is called the Moki Dugway. It climbs 1,100 feet in 3 miles.
Looking down on the road over 1000ft below
The View near Muley Point Utah Just above the dugway
Muley Point
You can see a section of river called the Goosenecks and Monument Valley in the distance.

The river meanders back and forth, flowing for more than five miles while progressing only one linear mile toward the Colorado River and Lake Powell.
After heading back down the Dugway we continued on toward Monument Valley
A rock formation called Mexican Hat just outside of Mexican Hat Utah
Hills of color and the San Juan River
The usual Monument Valley road shot
One Lone Trailer
The Mittens Monument Valley
The East Mitten and Merrick Butte
Merrick Butte
The main part of the valley
The Three Sisters
Spear Head Mesa
The Totem Pole and Yei Bi Chei
Random Buttes
The view from Artist Point
The Window
Its really amazing how many different landscapes are in one state!
