Ok maybe then we will stick to the original plan, October, do a thursday through Monday? a compromise on the dates, some can do 3 and some can do 5 we got 4 days so if someone can only come on the weekend they can and not have to be there the whole time.
That seems like a good idea. I can picture a lot of people possibly having trouble making it on a holiday. Thursday through Monday sounds good as well. Like you said it can accommodate people who can only make it on a weekend. Whenever it is I will take the time off and be there for the whole thing 100%. Any ideas about trails. Are we going to decide on different trails for different days ahead of time? I have done quite a few of the trails around here so I can help with that maybe. Also if you need any help with planning as far as places to stay and things like that I am 25 minutes from Moab so what I don't know I can find out.

I think that would be a good idea Cliff. I know there are 30+ trails out there. People are going to have to deceide which ones, how difficult they want to go, and so on.

As far as trails are concerned, I usually like to wait till I get out there, we asses who all is there, what rigs are capable for what, and who wants to do what, then split the group up and usally come back together for lunch and evening festivities. Or each day pick a different route. I am hoping everyone will have a CB by the time we leave, hint hint.

I just got back from Moab and for those who haven't gone its a whole new world of wheeling out there. Id say definitely have a CB, tow points front and rear spare tire etc. when we all meet up in moab the day we start wheeling we should split into two groups. one group for the newbs and smaller xj types and then a group with the big boys 33's plus.just my opinion.

As far as I'm concerned, CBs should be standard equipment in off-road rigs...

A CB is definitely on the list to be done to the Jeep soon.

I just realized that driving to Moab would cost me $500. At this point Idk if I can justify spending that much when I could instead buy a winch or gears with that $$

It's gonna cost me a fat chunk of change to haul both Jeeps out there, but hey, it's MOAB.

I'd rather not think about how fat that chunk of change is gonna be. I'm not quite sure i'm ready for Moab. Given I would LOVE to go, but I feel like i'm gonna end up snapping an axel or breaking a bunch of stuff and then hating myself for having spent a ridiculous amount of money out there.

I agree CBs are mandatory in any rig. I bough my for Easter Jeep Safari last year cause I got really sick of not knowing what was going on LOL

I don't know I have been out here for just over a year and have run quite a few trails and have yet to break anything major on one yet. But I know what you mean about using the money for other stuff on the jeep.

Yeah, idk if I'd wanna take that risk. I do know that I'd sure like to at least take a trip out there. Maybe drive my Tercel that costs half what the Jeep costs to drive.

As for the trail run, there will be a list of MANDATORY items one must have in order to go. I will post these items soon, These will be things that most trail runs require, and for that matter, anyone that wheels should already have in their rig. FYI, a CB will be one...stay tuned. This will keep folks from unknowingly becoming a burden on the group.
