I have a quick question, since your talking about being stuck, when I take my 1999 bone stock Cherokee wheeling to test it out. IF (when) I get stuck, where would you recommend hooking up a tow strap too? It doesn't have a tow hitch/bracket and it has no tow hooks up front. Thanks jonpost

 

You should invest in some recovery points if you're going to be wheeling. I don't think there is anything on a stock xj that I would trust hooking up to.

 

Great advice, I'll just add you can grab a hitch at the junkyard and may get lucky and find front tow hooks with brackets or find them in the for sale section here.

 

I have a rear oem tow hook id sell for cheap but, you would need to buy a nutstrip for it. You're probably better off just finding a trailer hitch.
