did this event last year and was a blast so even though my rig was barely ready, i still went up. was a decent time but didnt have as much fun as last time. my girlfriend had to work so we couldnt use her friends cabin and ofcourse, it poured all weekend. started off by getting my adjustable tracbar in at the very last minute, then drove up the whole way with the steering wheel upside down which made things interesting lol. we got there right as it got dark, to late to eat, so we went straight to partying. long story short, little sleep, woke up the next morning huddled up on the backseat. i had managed to fold it down, but had all my gear in the back so i must have just given up and curled up there. guess thats how i ended up getting sick as i am now haha.
either way, woke up at 8, ate breakfast, gassed up and hit the trails. we did some very mild trails, then we came out to the mud run. my buddy who i drove up with with his zj was 2 jeeps ahead of me while riding and i came out of the woods to find his jeep stuck right in the middle of basically a lake. nobody was willing to go in the water. when i pulled up, literally everybody was surrounding the lake with tow ropes ready but nobody was going in. i remember running through this puddle before and almost mistakenly hitting the drop off.
so i pulled up on the more shallow side, threw him my rope, got his hooked up to my jeep, and pulled it out. he hydrolocked it pretty good. just as this was happening, another xj almost rolled his. we got the zj running about 2 hours later but his weekend was over. tranny shifting hard, electronics acting up. so we had lunch, he went back to camp, then i went back half way through trail running to go pick him up. we ended up losing the group i was with but went out with another. all in all, a good time but just things kept going wrong i thought for sure my u-joints which were ready to go out on the way up, were gonna go out but they some how survived, just one more thing to fix.
onto pics

all in all it was a good weekend. last year was better but i still enjoyed this year. it will be a routine now to make this event every year. good people, good fun, and as always, a bad day wheeling is better than a good day at work
