I searched for the post that I linked in your build thread and it is no longer a valid website link. I can only assume that Napa has stopped carrying that pulley.

Arent the OEM idler pulleys metal vs the plastic idler in the aftermarket assemblies? I'd hate to be on my 5000 miles trip or deep along White Rim Trail with a failure.

I appreciate the effort guys..

I have a factory AC delete pulley for a Renix in my garage and both the mount and the pulleuy are metal. But many of todays autos and trucks are coming off the assembly line with plastic idler pulleys that last for thousands of miles without failure. Will the one in the link last for 100,000 miles? Who knows. You can be our test subject.

Can't you just buy a non ac belt and bypass the compressor? IDK I'm just asking.I was thinking about doing that.

nope...but if you remove the fan pulley, and relocated the alternator where the A/C was, and run a smaller belt that might work. Personally i have removed the fan pulley and now run a different size belt, that goes straight from the crank to the alternator.
