Default Possibly need a (0331 I think) Head for 01 XJ

Well my XJ is starting to randomly overheat and losing coolant but I cant find any serious leak and after reading im seeing that these have a common issue of cracking the head between 3 and 4.

Im looking for a good head but will more than likely need it shipped. if you are local to MD/DE/PA area I may be able to get someone to pick it up but other than the mid atlantic area I will need it shipped.

Unsure of what to expect for pricing so please let me know and well see what we can work out.

thats the thing is they want 450 plus shipping. I can get one from autozone for 428. but without pulling the head and KNOWING its cracked I dont want/cant drop that cash on a guess right now. which is why I was hoping someone had a head off a motor that dropped a bearing or something and would let it go for a decent price.

What concerns me about that one is how do you know it's not another one with the same casting flaw?

Well considering I am on an island where parts and tools arent exactly the easiest to get without paying a crazy price tag ontop of an already crazy tag and the fact that for 3-5 week every other month I am out at sea I dont need a daily driver. I need something that will get me around for another year untill I can get it shipped back home with me at which point I have 2 other vehicles I can drive while I rebuild a motor for this and have all my tools and spare random parts available. just looking for something quick

I would need it shipped down to Puerto Rico so I don't know if I want to pay retail price lol. I am throwing a gasket on and see what happens to see if it will get me throw a little longer until I have it shipped back home

I've got a good TUPY cast head from a 2004 G-Cherokee. id take $200 for it, shipping would be UPS on your account.

I put on a 0630 head. You could put that on or a 7120. I am glad I used an adapter plate, because there are gaps otherwise that will shorten engine life, possibly more.

This guy is an awesome resource... http://jeepexhaustadapter.com/

The adapter plate reduces clatter, fumes, and serious wear.

Big difference.
