Hows half a million sound? Naw but seriously if you can't get a D44 you can try the 8.25 29 spline. Good axle and you can get them for around a 100 bucks.Originally Posted by fallenknight308

DENVER CRAIGSLIST. there's a couple ppl with, but idk where you are so shipping can kill you.
AHH, the holy grail of XJ rear ends...I have one, but you can no havvy!! So sorry for you!!
JK, check junk yards in your area, and as was mentioned, the 29 spline 8.25 is a great axle, or an 8.8. Good luck with your search!!

I'm located in northern california, and around here ppl treat these things like they are worth the weight in gold.
I don't want a cryco axle, I want to do it right once and put a spicer axle under my jeep. I've looked at all the options like ford 8.8 and 9",
dana 60 ect.... But they look like alot more work and money.
(don't have access to welder, fabrication tools ect......)
I'll probably run this 35 till it shatters, and then go from there.
But it would be nice to have that 44 waiting to go in
