Default AW-4 Automatic tranny.
I am picking up an 89 cherokee this weekend. It was towed behind a motorhome incorrectly thus burning up the tranny. So, I am looking for a AW-4 tranny. I would like it in good shape and nothing I have to get rebuilt. Let me know what you got and how much. I have owned many Jeeps but never an XJ. Looking forward to getting this thing moving and on the trail. Also it gives me a reason to be on the Cherokee Forum.

I am in the Central FLorida area.

Oh sorry! I need the AW-4 for a 4x4. I forget they made 2wd cherokees . Thanks anyways.

71ChevyTruck. Does everything seem to be ok with the tranny. Does it need anything that you know of.
