Up for sale I've got a radar detector that plugs into your cigarette lighter outlet. The unit powers on, lights up, and makes noises but i have no way to check if it actually detects radar or not. $20 shipped on the unit. I can post pics if interest arises.

Just drove past the state police barracks with it plugged in and it went nuts so apparently it detects something lol. I work right down the road from the PSP barracks and didnt think to test it out there lol. I dont know much about it... I got it a part of a trade a while back so don't ask how to work it =P

Most common is "k" and "ka" when a police uses radar, if it detects a laser "when the cop is pointing a device at you" then it should say "laser"
others are "x" and some other one for ambulance and "CALTRANS"

BigBear, thanks for the info. I remember this unit scanning for k, ka, x, and a few others. I know how radar works, but i have no idea how the features of this unit work.

 

They all work the same!!! Alert you when you're GETTING a SPEEDING TICKET!
