Trying to make a little room in the garage. Got a couple miscellaneous parts laying around, not sure if they would be of any use to anyone.

Maybe somebody screwed up their shaft during a hack-n-tap and need an extra?

All parts are in good, used condition. For reference, my XJ is a 2001 Sport 4wd, auto tranny (AW4), D30/Chrysler 8.25 axles, NP231 transfer case.

LOL... actually they were sold in another For Sale thread, sorry. Those are the stock 3.55's that I replaced with 4.56's.

 

What's the length on the driveshaft from middle of u joint to middle of u joint?

Is the D30 carrier 3.55down or 3.73up?

 

I don't want to be misleading, so I will answer that I don't really know. This is the stock carrier that came out of my Dana 30. My stock gearing was 3.55. Whether or not the carrier can accommodate other gear ratios is unknown to me.

What I can tell you for sure is that, in order for me to upgrade my gears from 3.55's to 4.56's I had to purchase a new low ratio (numerically higher) carrier.

Ah ok, then it isn't what I need. For future reference if anyone asks you, it is a 3.55 and down carrier. The carrier breaks are 3.55 and down, 3.73 and up. Hence you having to buy a new carrier.
