I have disc brake backing plates from a ZJ Grand Cherokee. These are great for if you want to do disc brake swap on the rear of your XJ. I was going to use them, but change of plans. For a Dana 44 use the brackets from an 8.8. The bolt holes match up and the hole in the middle is larger. Besides that they are basically an exact match and both use the same brake hardware.

 

Indeed. Most common swap for the 44 is from the 95-ish crown vic.
