I have a row hitch off my 96 I would sell located in pittsburgh

 

I just heard back from the Guy I bought this from. The sticker in his door jamb says 96.... which would make it a 97. Lesson learned.... check the year for yourself and don't take somebodies word on it. He actually still has this Jeep so i want to see if he has any of the wiring or anything. He's awefully slow at getting back to my emails, but we'll see.

 

I need a hitch. How much?

PM sent, I'm very interested in buying this for my 97.

 

i just pulled one from the jy, it looks exactly like this all you need is the harness that goes into the front end of it. The second harness will be for the keyless entry, which unless you get the key fob from the donor xj and wire it all in to the locks and all that jazz, will be pointless so you can just clip the wires and just kinda tape 'em outta the way. BTW these things are hard to find, i had to go to 4 different junkyards to even find one, better jump on this fast!

For anyone that thinks this came from a zj, i have the exact same one in my 98 classic xj. Its very nice, direction, temp, av mpg, instant mpg, distance to empty, and a timer. i love it. WORTH the money.

ps. i work at a junkyard that gets 5-10 xjs a week, i have never seen one of these come in, they are rare.

 

Thanks for the input guys. It took me a while to find this one but plans for my rig have changed a lot since then.

 

These are rare - Out of all the XJ's I've had, only 2 ever had the overhead console. I was stupid and sold mine for nothing.
