Default 784 upgrade fuel injectors

Hello all. I have a number of sets from my vast stockpile of 784 "Neon" injectors for sale. As always they are cleaned inside and out, reverse flushed, electronically tested and put back together using new o-rings and new micro-filters in the tops. $60 shipped. I will accept PayPal or a money order by mail. I am in Baltimore and will ship out within one day via Priority mail.

If you have a pre-'99 XJ and would like a set of the new EV-6 style 784 injectors (You'd get a newer injector with less time on it) I can sell you a set of the 784's and EV-6 to EV-1 adapters that will allow the newer injectors to plug into your existing wire harness with no modifications needed. (87-91 XJs they install as normal on 92-95 XJs you will just need to rotate the 3rd injector plug towards the back of the engine so the adapter will miss the throttle cable bracket. 96-98 XJs the adapters are iffy working) $70, shipped also.

EV-6 to EV-1 adapters on my 1994 XJ:

If you have a late 98 it may just take the 784 as is anyway. Check your electrical connector. If it looks like this you can just use the 784s

By "iffy" on the 96-98 the adapters only work if you don't have cruise control.

I wanted to take a second to post about my experience buying some of the 784 injectors from Programbo. He got it shipped out very quickly, as promised, same day as payment through PayPal. I ordered them on Monday and got them today (Thursday). Not bad at all, from the east coast to central North Dakota.

Everything was clean and well-shipped with all the adapters, fitted o-rings and clips as promised. I installed them tonight and the 'ol XJ ran pretty well considered it sat the past week without fuel pressure. I haven't had a chance to do any extended driving yet, but I'll be sure to report in to let you folks know how it goes. So far, they appear to be worth the money (a good deal, anyway).

Thanks for the good experience, Programbo!

Thanks for the nice comments especially about the adapters as it seems a lot of guys are hesitant about trying the new (784) injectors in the older XJs using the adapters.

In '96 they switched to the fatter Grand Cherokee style injector plug. The 3rd injector back under the throttle cable bracket as the plug and adapter will only barely fit if you don't have cruise control. I mean it just makes it by a hair. With cruise control it won't fit at all since the plug needs to fit right down between the 2 cables and the 3rd cruise cable is in that spot if you have it.
