1979 Jeep CJ-7
Hey guys. I am needing to thin down my projects some and my old favorite needs to make way for my new one(89 Cherokee). So I have forsale my 1979 CJ-7.
Motor: 258 w/ Carter 2BBD carb
Ignition: Team Rush Upgrade. Taken from junkyardgenius.com
Upgrade Includes
>larger Motorcraft distributor cap (From a 79 F-Series with a I6)
>Distributor cab base from same F-Series truck
>Coil from a 89 Escort
>Plug Wires from an 90 Cherokee
>15 gallon Summit Racing Fuel Cell (mounted in back)
>Electric Fuel Pump (from a early model Bronco 3-5 psi)
>Equis Guages (electric water, mechanical oil and fuel level)
>Hedman Header w/ dual glass packs (cheap)
Jeep has seen its fair share of action. The hole road hard and put up wet scenerio. The body is just there for looks. Lots and lots of rust. The lights work and technically it is road legal, depending on the state. The motor runs good still but could use a refresh, oil pressure problems. The carb was rebuilt but still needs a good tuning. Tranny shifts smooth as does the transfer case. The clutch is fairly new as are the motor mounts. Currently the Jeep has some worn out 32 x 11.50's on factory wagon wheels. I will post up some pics later tonight for everyone also.
Jeep has a Dana 30 Front w/ Warn Premium Hubs and a AMC 20 rear.
Now I am gonna offer this in 2 options.
You can buy the Jeep as listed above but with a Lock-Right Locker for D30 installed already and a spare set of axles (front spare needs new gear set)
$1000
Jeep minus the locker and axles for $800 bucks.
People tend to be overally excited about this jeep but trust me, its a old worn out CJ-7. Pics will show that, but what it is is a good hunting Jeep. Something you can put out on the hunting club and not worry about it. Heck if you just want something you can beat the snot out of without remorse, this is the Jeep for you.
