Ed just got some of our Hood Vents installed! They're designed to cover the holes left by Lebaron hood vents or be used in a new install too. But our Hood Vents help keep out water, snow, and mud!

Hey thanks for the question. The Flat Flares make the most room up front. On the driver's side of the 97-01 XJ they come just below the windshield washer bottle. The rear opening is basically the same since it is limited by the sheet metal of wheel well. Either our original V2 Pocket Flares or our Flat Flares open up the wheel well as much, usually more, than BWs!
I've been considering buying Napier flares. Do you have a photo of them on an xj with 31" tires? Preferably 3" of lift. I need more clearance but I don't want too much so it looks bad. Thanks

We designed our Flat Flares to optimize the wheel openings to fit larger tires and maximize room for the tires to articulate! On our Flat Flares, the wheel opening gains over 3" vertically in front and over 2" in back. The back opening is limited by the wheel tub but our fender flares still cut out as much as possible without creating overly large gaps in the sheet metal. The front opening comes almost to the bottom of the windshield washer bottle on the driver's side. Any higher and the bottle would have to be permanently relocated ... and we didn't think that would be too cool.
Notice how the Flat Flare comes almost to the body line? The back edge of the flare that anchors to the sheet metal is less than 2" wide!

As he said, the rear is limited by the pinch welds and their purpose of holding the body tub together.
The following statement requires a full understanding of the task involved and the possibility of destroying the integrity of the XJ cabin, flooding the interior with mud, dirt, dust and water, and starting a rust nightmare. The responsibility for that understanding is directly in the hands of whomever is wielding the cutting tool.
IF you have the fabrication skills, or a friend who does, it is possible to cut past the pinch welds, and position the flares as you see fit BUT it is not recommended, suggested, endorsed, approved, implied, etc/
However, if you are building a 4 link buggy around a warmed big block, and the XJ cabin is hold your stereo system mainly, send us pics when you are done.

Thanks for the question. The rear is a bit more involved but still doable with basic tools and knowledge. It uses what is often called the "cut & fold" method. This method bends the sheet metal back into the wheel well so the spot welds that hold the XJs unibody construction together remain intact. I sent you a PM with more details. Let me know if you need more info!

Your products look awesome! I would love to place an order for 2 door XJ flares when you have some available
When will you have some available? Lol
Also could you possibly provide a quote with shipping to Canada?
Thanks!

Since we make the fender flares they are always available! The inventory qty on our website got out of date so it looked like zero available. Also, everyplace in Canada that we've checked so far runs less than $80USD for USPS Priority Mail. You have an email with more details.
