The flat flares offer slightly more coverage than our pocket flares. The flat flares average around 4.25". The front flares also get wider towards the front. We thought that looked better and still fit a wide range of wheel/tire combinations well.

CHEROKEE Discount code is still active!
Flat Flares are available on our website.
More pictures of the Red XJ with Flat Flares: Napier Precision Flat Flares - Photobucket.
We'll get more pics of the Flat Flares on other XJs but we gotta give guys a chance to get them installed first.

Good question! It depends on the snorkel installation. If the snorkel is already installed above the body line it'll work fine. If the snorkel gets below the body line more than a quarter inch or so then it'll interfere with the fender flares if they are installed in the typical location. I don't have any details on whether there's one brand of snorkel that works better or not. It would probably be good to check with the manufacturer of snorkel you're looking at to confirm.
Here's pics of some different XJs all running snorkels with our fender flares.

Thanks! So do you recommend fitting the flares before the snorkel? I'm looking at a knock off arb snorkel

Gotta say I don't know since I've never installed a snorkel! The flares have a little vertical adjustment to them but I don't know if the snorkel can adjust up and down any. If the snorkel is going to fit above the body line then it shouldn't matter. One other issue I can think of is that the cutting tool needs room to move. So, which ever you install first may have to be temporarily removed while the other is installed. Wish I could be more help. Maybe someone else that has done this before will comment.

Holy smokes, can't believe I have never heard of these. I really like how the rear flares are lifted up higher to match the level of the fronts. IMO they look perfect. And they are not too big and bulky like the bushwackers.

Do you have a website or whats going on here. I just now saw the thread.

Hey thanks for the question. The Flat Flares make the most room up front. On the driver's side of the 97-01 XJ they come just below the windshield washer bottle. The rear opening is basically the same since it is limited by the sheet metal of wheel well. Either our original V2 Pocket Flares or our Flat Flares open up the wheel well as much, usually more, than BWs!

Hey, thanks for the compliments!! Looks like you've already got the link to our website, it's also in my sig. When we started designing a fender flare for the XJ we wanted something that looked better, was tough enough to actually use off-road, and maxed out the XJs potential for flex and larger tires. We know we're not a big company but we have fun with what we're doing and get a lot of positive feedback on our Fender Flares. Thanks for the post!

Received my flares last week! I can't wait to install them.

The finish of the final product is excellent!
