The Cut N Fold or Quarter Fold (QF) fender flares are set up for XJs that have the lower portion of the rear quarter panel cut and folded up to increase ground clearance and departure angles. The area in red gets cut n folded:

These QF fender flares were the first made. Jake did a really clean job doing the QF modification which included modifying the bumper and convincing us to make QF flares for his XJ.
For people wanting to improve the off road ability of their XJ this is a great modification. Here is Jake's Cut N Fold write up on another forum.
I got the V2 flares but I haven't bothered to finish my bumper so I haven't cut yet. Removed caps and bed lined.

Hey guys. Finally got my V2's on. Along with my JCR front and rear bumpers. Had the bumpers Line-X'ed. The line-x looks great with the texture of the V2's. Had my first event at the Big Bear Forest Fest this last weekend. Had alot of Xj's coming up to me and saying how good my ride looked. I have 31's on now in the pic's. Will be stepping up to 33's next week. With the fender trim and the v2's it gave me alot of room. As u can see from the flex ramp shots. Some of u might recognize Rich with Magnaflow in the pic. I got out to look at my Flex and he saved my Xj from going over. Lesson learned distribution of weight is important. Lol
