You will only gain lift if you continue to run a 90 degree shackle angle if properly set at 45 utilizing what the boxes are intended for ,which is allowing shackle to sit at 45 and still have drop out left unlike the 90 degree angle ...you will lose lift unless you run longer shackle at 45 than you did at 90 ...If you plan on running these boxes or any set up like it with long shackle plan on the rear of the leaf being very very very low clearance ...My jeep is sitting at Crawlertech in Commerce city/Denver ,CO so I can't snap a shot ,but trust me the set up has trade offs .

Ashame you've already got a winner. From what I've been told, the leaf springs Rough Country sent me are defective, which is what causes the shackle angle I have. If any rig needs these brackets.... I think it would be mine. At full flex of the front suspension, the rear doesn't even budge and my shackles knock on the frame 24/7. The picture of my shackle angle was taken at ride height sitting in my driveway. The second picture is just a picture of my rig. I was testing out my new disconnects after the install. (Even though I got defective leaf springs from you guys... I still proudly sport a Rough Country decal on my windshield.) I love your products.... but defects do sometimes get through the line.

Im not completely sure I get what youre saying, but you wont lose lift by installing a relocating bracket and fixing the angle. you will if you keep the top shackle mounting point at the same location of course. Im basically just wondering what the distance is between the original mounting location and the new location. the difference at 45 degrees vs 90 degrees is going to be 1-1.5" lift depending on the length of the original lift shackle. From looking at the current shackle locations and the mounting, I think that these boxes have to be at least 2" but more like 3" distance between the old top bolt and the new too bolt, which is going to still add lift even if you are losing 1.5" from the angle change

I dont get what is going to be low clearance for the leaf. You mean the boxed in backside of the shackle comes into the relocation box upon compression?

^^ congrats on being the winner! looking forward to the writeup.

As far as lift, from what I understand... You don't lose any lift, because although, your shackle angle moves outward, losing lift height, the bolting of the bracket into the shackle box makes up for it, and some?

Another great thing about Rough Country is their customer service. Every time I've dealt with them they were absolutely great. If you have defective springs from them, call them and they will take care of you. Ive never heard of anyone NOT getting great service from them.

And also Congrats to the big winner!!!! X2 waiting on the write up!!!!

When I called Rough Country a few weeks ago (After posting my shackle problems on this forum and taking the Jeep to a suspension shop to find out that the springs are the problem) the gentleman on the phone told me I needed to send my springs to them so they could "inspect" them and verify they are defective, then send me a new set. I informed him that my Jeep is my daily driver and I absolutely cannot be out of a vehicle for 1-2 months while the springs shipped and were "inspected." He then proceeded to tell me there was nothing more he could do. When I first got my lift kit, my rear shocks didn't have any bushings so I contacted Rough Country, who promptly shipped me a set of bushings. The problem was resolved (even though I had to wait four or five days until they arrived) which I am thankful for.... But the problem shouldn't have existed in the first place.

The way I look at it is.... Say If you were to go to the store to buy a lightbulb, then you get home and open the box that the lightbulb is in and realise somebody put the wrong lightbulb in the box. You then go back to the store who replaces it no questions asked. Yes, the store gave you great customer service..... But you shouldn't have gotten the wrong bulb in the first place.

I'm not angry at anybody for sending the wrong or defective parts.... Just kind of disappointed that so many errors get through the system. I do understand stuff happens.... Please don't take me as "the guy who trashes a companies name because they made the smallest error."

you will lose lift i can't state it any simpler I had 1.5 lift shackles / 6.5 leafs and lost lift not sure how much since I never measured b4/after but it was visible difference .

The boxes drop rear mount changing angle of leafs putting more leverage on them effecting spring rate ...your leaf at rear bushing will be much lower than before ...like i said my Jeep is not at my house , so I can't snap a shot ...But you're welcome to call CrawlerTech , and inquire about the big XJ sitting in Josh's shop and ask him about the set up , and if he has not started the coils yet tell him George gives permission to snap a shot , so you can see what it looks like rather than try to get a visual from my very poor internet description .

the issue with these boxes for me is not lift that can be corrected easily ,but the low clearance leafs can't be ,and with these boxes you will eat every big ledge/boulder you drop off of with the rear of the leaf.

Default Difference in height w/stock shackles

Sorry that the pics are from different sides I'm just trying to give you guys an idea of what your jeep will look like using stock shackles. the first picture the jeeps rear sits at 25.5" off the ground and in the second it sits 27" so it added a 1.5" of lift and even though I now and 4.5 in the front and 6 in the rear, it gave the jeep a better stance and made it look level.
