My poor old exhaust is past due for replacement and I was wondering how the magnaflow sounds. I was thinking the 44 but now I can't make up my mind!

The MagnaFlow will have a smoother deeper tone, the 44 will sound like a typical Flowmaster. I'd recommend hitting up youtube and listening to the different mufflers on our 4.0's.

On my Xj I have had Cherrybomb, flowmaster 40 and 44, magnaflow, thrush, and straight piped exhaust systems. Magnaflow is by far the cleanest sounding of them all and offers the smoothest power.

I have a Thrush on my Grand Cherokee, I can't wait to get rid of that thing (hate the sound) and get a Flowmaster. I have the Flowmaster 40 on my Cherokee and that is such a good sound.

I liked my Flowmaster 40 too until I experimented with putting a Magnaflow on. Now I wouldn't have it any other way.

Finally got around to posting after the install of my flow master kit from Mudfrog. This kit sounds great! Much more throaty than my old cherry bomb turbo. This kit was very complete, but was only missing one part to be a total install. I need a pipe that would change diameter from 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches. This was not a hard problem to fix. I simply got an adapter piece from a parts store and welded it together. One other problem I encountered was with the "tip" of the pipe. It was a little too high arched and wouldn't line up because it was hitting my bumper. A hacksaw fixed this very easily lol. I don't want people to think that I am speaking negatively about the product, I just want want people to know it is not 100% bolt on for everyones rig. The modifications needed could differ by rig considering the kit spans a variety of model years. Overall I am very satisfied with the kit. Thanks Mudfrog!

I ran into that tail pipe/bumper problem too. What I did was after I got home everyday and the pipe was still hot, I got a pry bar and stuck it between my bumper and pipe and bent it down. I eventually got it to about .75 and inch off the bumper and haven't had any problems since.

Purchased the Flowmaster kit they have, tried to install myself with clamps . My advise if you get this kit, dont try and clamp it, just weld it, better yet just take it to a shop and pay the $100 to get it installed. Sounds great, looks great, after I had a shop install it.

What problems did you have with the clamps?

My experiences with this company and their products were very good. The only "problem" I had with the kit I bought was that they sent three 2.25" clamps with my 2.5" exhaust kit. I'm 90% certain I clicked on the 2.5" clamps to add to my cart but I could have possibly clicked the 2.25" clamps. I didn't get a printed receipt with my order so I couldn't check. This could have just been my mistake by clicking on the wrong one, who knows. Muffler and catalytic converter came sealed in their original boxes with warranty paperwork enclosed. Couldn't be any better.

All in all, good company with good products. Prices are fantastic.

Well really it was more because I got the wrong size reducer and tried to fit it over the muffler end. I got everything up and on and I was tightening everything up and the muffler popped off the reducer. Im sure if youre actually using the right parts you shouldnt have a problem lol. I was just fed up with messing with it and I wanted it welded anyways.
