I run the rear spring sliders on my XJ, and I can say they are pretty much invisible from a noise stand point...

It's not daily driven, but I have had it on the road for about a year. maybe a little less.

What are you concerned about?

My XJ was the test mule for the bolt in slider box option from LII, and I will say I have been both happy and impressed with them.

My XJ spent a week in Johnson Valley being flogged on to get around King of the Hammers to film the event with them as its first trip with them installed

Upon return to the east coast they have been used extensively trail riding, and whoop riding in New Jersey. Between going fast at Rausch Creek, crawling at Rausch Creek, going fast over desert terrain, and street driving, they havent done me wrong. As Chris (the freeak) said above, noise is essentially a non issue with these things, definitely not something to be concerned about.

LII stands behind their product and has always done me right. They are the real deal, look for them in the next couple issues of CRAWL magazine.

If you're a trail rider/crawler, they still flex great, dont be worried. I was originally told online by forums that they would "Not hold up at speed" and I have found that to be 100% incorrect through a lot of use.

Also, I saw someone mention roll cages, and I'd just like to add that LII did the cage on my XJ and it came out great

Glad to see some of these products here. I've seen them on other sites.

Just out of curiosity, whats the life on the nylon blocks? How much are replacements? How well do they handle mud/sand/debris? Are they easy to replace?

Can we get some flex shots, closer up of the rear?

I was just worried about the "driveability" and noise of the slider boxes. I don't like to buy a product that I know nothing about. If I had another LII product and could see the workmanship, it may be a different story, but this is the first time I'm hearing of the company and their products.

My Xj gets used hard on and off road, so I want to make sure the products I'm putting into it are going to meet my needs and withstand the abuse I will put them through.

From what I've heard from you guys here about these products, it looks like I will probably be buying a set of these slider boxes in the future. I still need to do some research however. Thanks for the feedback.

theyre just blocks/pieces of UHMW, so theyre cheap. but for what its worth, im still on the same set of pieces since january and they havent worn really much at all, and the wheeling i do is almost always grimey gritty east coast nastiness...so it sees mud, water, sand, dust, so on every trip out. very easy to replace.

It is a possiblity, i have seen it done before on cj's and yj's.

We have had a set of the sliders on the LII XJ for about 5 years now same set of bushings.

Rear Flex shot.

This may seem strange, my posting in a competitors thread but I respect and like Tim and his products are very well thought out and innovative. Tim may have only been selling to the public for a few years but he has been around for a good while and certainly knows what it takes to make something the right way.

From the business standpoint I welcome someone like Tim & Liquid Iron Industries because he pushes the envelope and makes all of us work harder to do better. So don't worry, this is a good product and one I wish I had made first

I have a question and it might sound dumb, but what about lift shackles? With the sliders and shackles would it "slide back" and cause the rear to sag and the XJ sit unlevel? Just curious and it probably doesn't affect a dang thing, but I wanted to ask because I want a set..
