I've seen this before many times. Guy gets a good idea, builds a good product, but isn't expecting the price of success and gets in waaaay over his head.
That doesn't make him a crook, but guys, pay attention to this pattern the next time somebody on a forum (whatever kind of forum!) comes up with a good product and starts marketing it like a backyard mechanic. It usually means bad things, eventually.
If it's not being run like a proper business, be very skeptical. Taking orders by email on some forum thread is a good indication that it's not a "real" business.
Doesn't mean he's a crook, just means he doesn't know how to run a business.
You can get burned either way. It's happened plenty of times.
I hope you get things sorted out, Leonard.
You might think about putting some kind of notice about your situation in your sig, instead of continuing to advertise a web site that's down.
If you're a year backlogged, it's time to start refunding some money.

Yep. I'm happy with mine. I have driven it hard into rocks and bent the front wings up into the fenders pretty good now. I'm going to probably fix it and then sell mine to build a lower profile bumper. Someone should buy mine

I love the bumper though. Gets compliments everywhere.

I get compliments on mine everyday, I've tugged on it pretty good too. One of the best if not best built bumpers.
Thanks again, Chris. Hope it all works out!

Love my bumper and get compliments on it all the time. Chris, it sounds like you need to take a step further and hire a couple of old retired guys to help you get your production up to a "small business" level rather than a "Hobby" level. You have the demand for your product and if you can keep your costs in line and not raise the price too much I think you might have a nice little business opp.
