Right. That's what I thought, but I just don't remember seeing a brace in my searches. That was a while ago though, so maybe I just never noticed it.

You can get all 3 pieces on amazon for about $250 and free shipping. Between the brace, the bumper tie-ins and a steering box brace, i noticed a big improvement in front end stability on both my xj and the mj. make sure you get the appropriate track bar, as there are 2 of them for different lift heights.

We should be able to beat that price from Amazon.. If you guys need RE parts let me know.

Also, we are getting close to being caught up on steering (and other parts) so lead times will be going down very soon!

What is the realistic time frame on one of these steering kits at the moment?

Steering kits ship out pretty quick, I got mine like a week to 10 days from when I ordered.

Buy once cry once. I will say that you might be better suited to sticking with TRE's since I know you do a lot of road driving. A ruff stuff kit might be the way to go.

Good to know on the time frame. I am guessing you are saying its not the best for something like a DD because of the heims? Depending on how many road trips I make a year, I will probably put 5000-7000 miles a year on the Jeep. So even if I had to replace the heims every other year, I am fine with that.

Heims should last a pretty long time, just didnt know how much time you really spent driving on the road.

I honestly probably only drive 10-12K a year total with road trips included. The Jeep will probably get half of those miles and the other half will get split up with my other cars. So I would say it doesnt really spend too much time on the road.

Looking to order the steering kit this week and possibly the track bar sometime down the road. Currently have the IRO kit and track bar, 5/8" already drilled on the knuckles and pitman. Will the Cavfab track bar work with the IRO double-shear bracket, or will it only work with the RE bracket?

Also, does the steering kit make any noise or have any kind of vertical play whatsoever? One reason I'm looking to upgrade is because the heim bodies on the IRO tie rod rattle against their mounting washers due to the eye gap on anything but smooth roads. It's either that or the drag link misalignment washer. It drives me absolutely nuts.
