1988 XJ Project Jeep
Hello,
I am selling my 1988 Jeep Cherokee 4x4. Asking $1400 with the custom rack, or $1200 without. I bought this as a project, and I no longer have the time or money to put into it. It does run, but it needs some work. Foremost, it needs a new radiator, which comes included with the Jeep. The radiator is brand new and is for a 1996, but will work in this model, with a little modification. Other than that, the only other real problem is an oil leak. I believe it's the rear main seal, but I'm not 100% certain. The battery is brand new (bought this weekend) and I have the receipt for the 3 year Napa warranty. I've replaced most of the commonly failed components for this model already. In rough order I've replaced: Spark plugs and thermostat (146k when I bought it) Water pump, starter, fuel injectors, TPS, fuel pump, and CPS. I'm sure there were a few other little things, but that's the bulk of it. Tires are 31s and have about 50% tread left. The bushings on the front A-arms need replacing, something that was supposed to be done when I put the lift kit I never got around to buying on there. It also has an 8" subwoofer, 100 watt amp, and an aftermarket stereo. All-in-all, this is a great deal for someone willing to put in a little work. Located in East San Francisco Bay Area.
