Default Sway bar disconnects

I've started working on a new project. Ive managed to install a 3" rough country lift on my 1990 xj. I would like some sway bar disconnects, unfortunately the closest i can find are disconnects from 3.5-6" lift. Does anyone have any experience putting these disconnects on a 3" lift?

The only thing I would add having owned and installed both the skyjacker and the jks discos is a note about how they work. The skyjacker uses four pins and the center section comes out. Making it pretty easy to lose any of the bits unless you snap the pins back on immediately. The jks units stay attached the top and fold up, leaving only two pins to reattach. If price was not an issue I like the jks units personally.

If I'm not mistaken the Rustys ones will fit all lift heights and several models of Jeeps not just the XJ's.

I need to subscribe to this thread. I plan on doing more off roading now that I got a new set of 32" BFGs but will still be using it as a daily driver so I would be able to take the sway bar off on the fly. How easy are they to install? Will I need to install longer brake lines since I will be flexing more with the swaybar off?

Depends on what brake lines you have now and how much lift you have.

Those were the ones I was thinking about getting. Did you pay $175 like they are on the JKS website, or did you get them for cheaper?

Also... I have a 3" RC lift with 32" BFG... as far as I know I have stock brake lines. Would an upgrade be necessary?

I got them off serious off road for 157.75 that was with shipping. It depends all i did for mine was drill a new hole in the wheel well and moved the whole thing down.

JKS sells both iirc. The better ones are the quicker disconnects brand. And those are well worth the money. Dont remember if they still carry the 4 pin model but back when i was looking a few years ago they did
