Picked it up a new oil filter, and some T4. Mixing it with some Castrol GTX 5W20 to save a few bucks since its been in my garage forever. Just poured 4 different motorcycle oils together in with some T3, ha ha ha.

Got the rear bumper painted and mounted today. Decided to use rustoleum hammered paint to hide any of the weird looking marks and weld joints. Still have to do some finishing touches like aligning the side panels but other from that, very impressed with the design quality.

I greased every zerk fitting I could find. Probably should have done that a while ago. We will see if it stops some of the clunks when I drive it tomorrow.

FINE-looking bumper job, good on you!
'Did similar last summer because the factory one just disintegrated...weird, as 'rest of the 96 Sport is in great condition. Went with factory spec replacement as he's mostly an urban ride and does not tow anything.
Query; did you have a terrible(!!!!) time getting the old one off?
In this instance, everything was wretchedly rusted together. Old bumper came off in 5 "large" and 5,413 small pieces. Mounts needed a week of Blaster, pounding, wrenching, Blaster, pounding...but all 8 bolts ultimately came out without snapping. Replaced all of them with new.
Brush-on truck-bed-liner plastic will "even out" more of the weld mark etc. and do some protection, too.

Yeah give us an update. The only time I do this is when I do suspension or steering work so I can never tell a difference because I grease new pieces lol.

Well it seems to have made most of the clunks go away. I was also getting a weird wobble in the steering wheel around 45-50mph. That seems to be better too. The steering feels a hair tighter now.
