in a 1-10 rating on how hard it is to install ball joints. What would you say it is.
I totally rebuilt a HP30 & swapped it for my LP30. With a rating 1-10, ball joints are probably a 3-4 based on the condition of the axle. you're gonna need Heat, ball joint puller (rent from Auto Zone), air tools are a big help too. Not impossible, search YouTube for installing ball joints on Jeep XJ and there are some good vids....

At least your good on your tie rods and track bar unless your a big time rock crawler. My setup (the same) has held up well for almost a yr. now on locked 33x12:50's on my off road XJ.
